The Folklore Historian

Folklore Historian Cover Vol 28 2011The Folklore Historian, sponsored by the History and Folklore Section of the American Folklore Society, is a print journal devoted to connections of folklore with history and history of folklore studies; dues-paying section members receive one issue each year. The journal's purview includes oral history, narrative, museology, local and regional history, and historiography. Published annually since 1983, the journal's contents include winners of the Richard Reuss Prize on a subject dealing with the history of folklore studies. Articles are abstracted and indexed in Historical Abstracts and back issues are available online at the HathiTrust Digital Library.
