AFS Offers Free Temporary Access to JAF

Posted by: Lorraine Cashman

In its efforts to mitigate the challenges created for our membership by the Covid-19 global health crisis, AFS is joining publishers across the country in making the Journal of American Folklore available for free through ProjectMuse and JSTOR through June 30, 2020. We offer this opportunity with the aim of supporting teaching, learning, knowledge discovery, collaboration, and scholarly production during this time when many of us face unprecedented restrictions and instability.

If you already have access to JAF content through an institutional or individual subscription to JSTOR or ProjectMuse, please support AFS by continuing to use those platforms: AFS receives compensation for each download, and that revenue comprises a significant percentage of AFS’s annual budget.

If you lack that access, we invite you to read JAF content at https://muse.jhu.edu/journal/87

To look for JSTOR content that can be accessed for free, see https://about.jstor.org/covid19/
