Rutgers Seeks Admin. Director, New Jersey Folk Festival/Instructor in Folklore

The Department of American Studies of Rutgers University-New Brunswick invites applications for a 3-year non tenure-track position as Administrative Director of the NJ Folk Festival at the rank of Instructor to begin July 2018. The Festival is dedicated to the documentation and presentation of traditional folk cultures in New Jersey at an annual, outdoor, large-scale event. 


M.A. or Ph.D. in Folklore or closely related field required by the start of appointment. Three to five years’ experience in event planning, concert production, and/or public humanities. Applicants must demonstrate evidence of excellence in teaching and events management. Expected start date of July 1, 2018.
