This is a reminder that the deadline is approaching to register for the AFS Archives & Libraries Section's Adventures in Archiving Conference.

The organizing committee is very excited about the conference lineup. In addition to presentations from archivists across the U.S. as well as Canada, Latvia, Norway, and the U.K., there will be technology showcases on the NFAI's Folklore Collections Database and the Oral History Metadata Synchronizer (OHMS) along with keynotes from Nicole Saylor of the American Folklife Center and Dr. James Leary of the University of Wisconsin-Madison.

The conference will be held October 16-17, 2017: the Monday and Tuesday immediately before the AFS annual meeting in the same city. The venue is the Minneapolis Central Library, less than half a mile from the Marriott City Center (the official AFS conference hotel).

Registration is $50 for one day, $75 for two days. The registration deadline is August 31. All funds go to the Archives & Libraries Section to support this conference and future section activities.

More information, including a full schedule and a link to registration, can be found on the conference webpage.
