Archivist Position Available for Franciscan Friars of Our Lady of Guadalupe Province in Albuquerque

The Franciscan Friars of Our Lady of Guadalupe Province in Albuquerque, NM, are seeking a full- time archivist.  Preference will be given to candidates with training in archival work as a career. 

The candidate will preferably have a master's degree in library and information science (MLIS) or be a certified archivist (CA); however, other applicants will be considered. The candidate should also have an understanding of historical and current Catholic tradition, practices and beliefs.  An understanding of Franciscan history is a plus.

The position responsibilities include: maintaining inventory of archival records which date back to 1898, processing new materials, providing reference/research services and identification/verification of donated items of value.
