The John W. Kluge Center at the Library of Congress Seeks Director

The Director of the John W. Kluge Center at the Library of Congress coordinates and promotes the activities of scholars engaged in research at the Center. The incumbent reports directly to the Director, Scholarly and Educational Programs, and works closely with and provides scholarly evaluations and program recommendations to the Director, National and International Outreach. The Director is responsible for recruiting visiting scholars, establishing and maintaining a program of public events featuring scholarly work conducted at the center, fundraising for fellowships and public programs, providing oversight to the Library’s Scholars Council, overseeing the Kluge Center staff, and relating the personnel and programs of the Center to the work and mission of the Library as a whole. The successful applicant will have attained distinction both as a research scholar and as an administrator of a scholarly institute or operation.
