Instructor Needed for Anthropology Course at California State University, Northridge

The Department of Anthropology at California State University, Northridge is looking for a qualified instructor to teach ANTHROPOLOGY 305: Individual and Culture in Spring 2016. According to the CSUN catalog, this courses encompasses: “Comparative study of the relationship between the individuals and their culture. Child-rearing in nonwestern cultures. Exploration of individual identity and group character.” It is a writing intensive, upper division general education course.

The class is scheduled to meet Tuesday/Thursday 11-12:15. California State is on the semester system and their classes begin 25 January and run through the second week of May.

Qualified individuals must hold a PhD or be able to demonstrate comparable upper division teaching plus must have teaching and/or research experience in the topic of the course.

Interested individuals should send an introductory cover letter, CV, and sample syllabus (for a similar course) to Cathy L. Costin at as soon as possible.
