CFP: Journal of Folklore Research

Posted by: Alexandra Sanchez

The Journal of Folklore Research invites new contributing articles and/ or special issues that connect folklore and ethnomusicology to anti-racist, feminist, LGBTQI+, and de-colonial studies

In addition, genres investigated may reflect traditional avenues of study found in folklore and ethnomusicology, as well as important contributions reflected from the perspective of the study of folklore and ethnomusicology within social movements, the visual arts, fiction, the digital humanities, and film. As the Journal of Folklore Research seeks to continue its international focus, it supports work that is transnational, yet also reflects approaches that emphasize cultural and geographical specificity.

Dr. Solimar Otero (Indiana University) will serve as the incoming Editor. Otero invites inquiries about submitting to the journal for both individual articles and special issues at solioter@iu.edu
