Rachel González Receives Popular Culture Association Award

The Popular Culture Association (PCA) awarded Rachel González the Emily Toth Award for Best Single Work in Women's Studies for her 2019 publication: Quinceañera Style: Social Belonging and Latinx Consumer Identities. Quinceañera Style explores the social negotiation and consumerism in the coming-of-age quinceañera celebration and the impact of normalizing spectacles of luxury.
