By Jeanmarie Rouhier-Willoughby, ISCLR President--

The International Society for Folk Narrative Research-ISCLR Board has been in consultation with the local organizers of our annual conference, Emili Samper and Carme Oriol, slated for July 2020 in Tarragona, Spain. In light of the ongoing pandemic and the uncertainty that many of us will be able to travel to the conference, we have agreed it is best to postpone the Tarragona conference until July 2021. While that changes our schedule for upcoming conferences, it ensures that the hard work by the organizing team was not in vain, an important factor for the Board in making this decision.

As a result of this decision, the revised schedule of ISCLR conferences would be:

2021 Tarragona, Spain, hosted by Carme Oriol and Emili Samper
2022 Ottawa, Canada, hosted by Ian Brodie and Gail de Vos
2023 Worcester, England, hosted by Mikel Koven

We will be in touch about other issues that this cancellation entails in due course.

Thank you all for your understanding and support of ISCLR. While we regret the opportunity to meet with you this year, we look forward to another opportunity in 2021 (and perhaps at other conferences in the meantime). Most importantly, we wish you all continued good health.
