AFS Review: Calls for Submissions

Submissions Due August 15 for Iona and Peter Opie Prize for Best Book on Children's Folklore

The Iona and Peter Opie Prize from the Children’s Folklore Section of the American Folklore Society (AFS) is awarded every two years to the author of the best recently published scholarly book on children’s folklore. The next Opie Prize will be awarded in 2020, and books should have been published between 2018 and 2020. The deadline to receive books for consideration is The Iona and Peter Opie Prize August 15, 2020. The chairs of the Opie Prize Committee are John McDowell at Indiana University and Elizabeth Tucker at the Binghamton University.

 

Please submit books for consideration to the chairs of the Opie Prize Committee:
