AFS Review: Did You Know...?

You Should Start Your Meeting Proposal Now Even If You Can't Finish It

This is generally good advice, but especially for those who may have trouble joining, signing in, or for those who intend to be part of a preorganized session. AFS staff is always happy to assist, but they will be out March 16-20, and particularly busy in the last days of March.

Participants in preorganized panels, including forums, should:

  • Register
  • Find and save your personalized link to the proposal submission portal in your registration confirmation email
  • Submit your personal information for the program in the proposal portal, as well as your paper proposal, if any.
  • Share your proposal ID with your panel chair in time for the chair to complete the panel proposal by March 31.

Remember: you don't have to finish your proposal, you just have to start it. Given the mid-March AFS office closing, we recommend that you complete these steps by March 15. You may edit all of your proposal submission data through the March 31 deadline.

See How to Submit a Proposal for more detailed information.
