The AFS African American Folklore Section, which met for the first time at the 2019 annual meeting, now has an online presence: learn more and join on the section’s official page. Section members can help set the section’s agenda, plan activities, and receive communications about all section business. Section membership is free, and you don’t have to be an AFS member to join. However, if you’re not already an AFS member, you do have to create a web-only account to sign up for the section.

The section has also launched a Facebook group to share news and views about African American Folklore. Join the group, American Folklore Society--African American Folklore Section, to participate.
