Festival of Ideas, a Gathering to Facilitate Conversations at Annual Meeting

This year, American Folklore Society Meeting introduces a new event—The Festival of Ideas—created to invite conversations for attendees to share ideas, resources, problem solving techniques, and experiences around the community-driven interests that connect conference goers together.

Come to the Hyatt's 2nd floor Harborview/Atrium, on Thursday, October 17, from 6:00–7:30 pm, to meet with local conference participants and folklorists from around the country and the world to discuss the strategies, issues, and opportunities that arise in their work.

Guided by this year’s theme—Community Driven—this will not be the usual conference session. Rather, we hope to create a space where everyone can ask, “How can we help each other?”
