The Modern Language Association of America's MLA International Bibliography will be discussed in a panel at the AFS Annual Meeting in Baltimore sponsored by the Archives and Libraries Section:

09-05 A Classic Research Tool: The MLA International Bibliography
Saturday, October 19, 2–4 PM (Frederick, 2nd floor)

Chair Moira Marsh (Indiana University) will be joined by MLA staff members Farrah Lehman Den and Greg Grazevich for an exploration of the Bibliography’s scope and coverage in folkloristic scholarship, its use in the classroom, and the role of folklore terminology in its taxonomy and controlled vocabulary.

Attendees will also have an opportunity to talk about their research and discover how the Bibliography can assist them at all stages of the research process by visiting the MLA table in the exhibit hall (Constellation Ballroom). Scholars can take advantage of the MLAIB with full text (in partnership with EBSCO), view free tutorial videos and online course, and make sure their publications are included in the Bibliography. Information on folklore-related sessions at the 2020 MLA Convention will be available as well.
