Louisiana State University’s Department of Geography and Anthropology, the Louisiana State Division of Archaeology (LA DOA), and the Louisiana Archaeological Society (LAS) are hosting the 10th Annual South-Central Conference on Mesoamerica (SCCM) October 18–20 in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. The Conference is currently accepting submissions for the conference until September 15.

The South-Central Conference on Mesoamerica (SCCM) is a regional conference that provides a venue to bring together scholars in the fields of archaeology, ethnography, art history, and others, as well as the general public, to share information and interpretations on current research focused on the cultures of the Mesoamerican region. The conference is free and open to the public. The conference aims to be intellectually broad and to embrace multiple disciplines.

Presentations are welcomed from archaeologists, anthropologists, ethnohistorians, and scholars in other fields such as geography, history, language, and art, who study the indigenous cultures of Mesoamerica, past and present.  To submit an oral presentation or poster, see Call For Papers, 2019 SCCM. Limit abstracts to 100 words.
