2019 Annual Meeting Updates

Here are some recent meeting developments:

  • Don’t wait to book your guest room! September 16 is the cut-off date to reserve a guest room at the Hyatt Regency Baltimore Inner Harbor at the AFS conference rate. See local information for more details, including the reservation link.
  • You can now access a pdf of the program book, representing the program as of September 1. Any subsequent changes or announcements can be found on the program addendum which will be linked to the 2019 meeting page and online program soon.
  • Please notify us immediately of any further changes to this program at americanfolkloresociety@gmail.com so the schedule adjustments can be shared with conference attendees in the program addendum.
  • You can also use any web browser to access the online program, which reflects all known schedule adjustments, including late-breaking withdrawals. AFS staff is still working on adding supplemental information to this resource, but it’s the definitive source of up-to-date schedule information.
  • As you prepare for the meeting, please help us make our annual meeting accessible to all. We all benefit from robust, inclusive communication. The AFS Executive Board and the AFS Accessibility Committee ask you to familiarize yourselves with the Society’s Guidelines for Accessible Presentations and to implement as many of them as you can at the meeting this year.

As always, you can visit the 2019 Annual Meeting page at any time. It is the hub of information about all meeting news, with updates as plans develop.
