The Vermont Folklife Center will host two events coming in July. "Drawing from the Past: A Nonfiction Comics Workshop" is a workshop at the St. Albans Museum on July 19 that will focus on creating comics from primary source materials. On July 20, the 2019 Non-Fiction Comics Mini-Fest will be held from 10am–4pm at the Saint Albans Museum in St. Albans, VT.

This year will focus on history and memory with presentations on literary biography by Glynnis Fawkes (Charlotte Brontë Before Jane Eyre), the Civil War by Marek Bennett (Civil War Diaries of Freeman Colby Volumes 1 & 2), and the experiences of women veterans from VT and NH by Kurt Shaffert and Sarah Yahm (A Whole Lifetime of Firsts).
