2019 AFS Annual Meeting Program and Other Essential Information for Presenters Now Available

Important new information is now available for the 2019 Annual Meeting of the American Folklore Society, which will be held October 16–19, 2019 at the Hyatt Regency Inner Harbor of Baltimore, Maryland.

We must receive all corrections by June 30.

If your proposal indicated that you were flexible about the duration of your presentation, please take note of the time block that you have been assigned. All other presenters have been assigned the time block they requested.

The work of the review committee is always exacting and difficult. We greatly appreciate their efforts and the work of our local planners to put together a strong and exciting meeting in the fall.


All presenters must register for the annual meeting; if you have not already registered, please do so now at You must be registered by June 30 to be included in the final program. In the future, essential communications about the annual meeting will be directed only to registered attendees.
