The AFS Folklore Wiki pages on Organizations and Institutions in the field of folklore have had a tune up: new items have been added, old entries with broken links have been removed, and the lists have been streamlined and re-organized.

Are your organizations and institutions represented? If you see anything you would like to change in these pages, or anywhere in the Folklore Wiki, you can sign in and edit the pages yourself, or send us your corrections, revisions or additions in a Word doc to AmericanFolkloreSociety@gmail.com.

Some of the new content was shared by Traditional Arts Indiana graduate assistant Micah Ling. In addition to working on new initiatives like the apprenticeship program and the Indiana Heritage Fellowships, Micah compiled a list of current state folklife programs as part of a redesign of the TAI website. Traditional Arts Indiana is dedicated to expanding public awareness of Indiana’s traditional practices and nurturing a sense of pride among Indiana’s traditional artists, in partnership with the Indiana Arts Commission, the Mathers Museum of World Cultures, and Indiana University-Bloomington.
