Good Work: Masters of the Building Arts, the recent documentary about craftsmanship in the traditional building arts directed by Marjorie Hunt and Paul Wagner, is now available to stream on Amazon through PBS Distribution. The film is also airing on PBS stations around the country for a period of three years (check local listings for dates/times). Video clips, images, and information about the featured artisans and their crafts can be found on the PBS website. Good Work is a co-production of the Smithsonian Center for Folklife and Cultural Heritage and American Focus, Inc., and is part of ongoing efforts to research, document, and increase recognition of the important role that skilled artisans play in traditional architecture and historic preservation.

A review of the film by P. Judkins Wellington has just been published in the Journal of American Folklore, Winter 2019, Vol.132, No.523:102-104. Good Work is also featured in an article in and in Preservation, the magazine of the National Trust for Historic Preservation.
