A Chinese festschrift in honor of Professor Dan Ben-Amos was published by the China Social Sciences Press, Beijing, in October 2018. Entitled Concepts and Methods in Folkloristics: Essays by Dan Ben-Amos, this volume contains 18 translated essays representing Dan Ben-Amos’s contribution in the areas of context, genre, basic concepts (motif, tradition), African folklore, and Jewish folklore. This volume, edited by Juwen Zhang, was a gift for Professor Dan Ben-Amos’s 84th birthday. It was presented to him at the forum, “Ethnic Genre Revisited: in Honor of Dan Ben-Amos,” at the 2018 AFS Annual Meeting in Buffalo, New York. (ISBN: 9787520329422)
