Try the New 2018 AFS Annual Meeting Online Program

We are beta-testing a new digital program which can be accessed using a web-browser on any device, including desktop or laptop computers, tablets, or phones. This broad accessibility should be a benefit for members who do not want to (or cannot) install an app on their devices.

The online program is similar to the preliminary program that was posted earlier in the summer, but the functionality is substantially improved. It includes the full schedule with links to session details, individual paper abstracts, and full event information. It also has a search feature, as well as  keyword, presenter, and event indexes to help you find the information you need. The keyword and presenter indexes are fully linked to the program.

At this time, the online program gives you the ability to copy events or sessions into a calendar of your choice (Google, Outlook, iPhone, etc.).

AFS staff will endeavor to keep this online program updated throughout the meeting, including last-minute withdrawals. Because all program changes are integrated directly and immediately into the online program, it is only necessary to check the online program addendum if you’d like a summary of announcements and program changes.

The Buffalo Niagara Convention Center offers wireless internet; attendees can connect to the BNCC network. Our current contracts for future annual meetings all include wireless internet for attendees.

This program, and the program data management system behind it, were custom built for our purposes by AFS Membership Director Meredith McGriff, who has many ideas about improvements that might be made in the future. We welcome your feedback on this beta test; please visit the Feedback link at the bottom of the online program's homepage to give us your thoughts.

The online program can be found on the 2018 Annual Meeting page; the direct address is
