Is there a folklorist you've long admired and would like to get to know?  Is there someone doing innovative work that you would like to highlight for our community? Would you help others learn about our field by sharing your own work and experience?

You can be active in supporting our field by helping AFS write a feature!

Our recent Featured Folklorist post on Robert Dobler was an interview conducted by Eleanor Hasken, a PhD candidate at Indiana University, as part of an independent project that earned course credit in her department.

We invite you to participate by:

  • completing the questionnaire yourself
  • suggesting someone who should be featured, or questions that should be asked
  • interviewing a folklorist of your choice, asking the questions that interest you
Submit your suggestions for submissions for publication in the AFS Review to associate director Lorraine Walsh Cashman at lcashman@indiana.edu.
