Voting in AFS Election Ends December 31

This year, AFS members are electing candidates to three seats on the Executive Board (for three-year, 2018-2020 terms) and to one seat on the Nominating Committee (for a three-year, 2018-2020 term).

The ballot URL is Please cast your ballot securely online by following this URL and entering your personal information. We require this information to verify that you are an AFS member and to ensure that each member votes only once. Your name will not be linked with the votes you cast.

On the balloting page you will find links to each candidate's biographical summary and platform statement. You can go back and forth between the candidate pages and the balloting page until you cast and submit your votes.

If you prefer to vote by mail using a paper ballot, please request one by contacting We must receive your paper ballot no later than December 31, 2017.

 Please note:

 1. You may vote for up to three candidates for the Executive Board. If you submit votes for more than three Board candidates, none of your Board votes will count. You may also vote for “None.”

2. You may vote for one candidate, or for "Neither," in the voting for the Nominating Committee.

Once you have indicated your votes, you will have the opportunity to review them before officially casting them. After you have clicked the "Complete Survey" button, you will not be able to return to the election.

Online balloting will be open through 11:59 PM EST (UTC-5) on December 31, 2017, and those elected will take office in January 2018. We'll send word of the final election results to all AFS members shortly after the first of the year.
