The Public Programs Section would like to announce Idea Fair 2012, scheduled for Friday, October 26 from 1:30-3:30 p.m. in Beauregard. For those of you who missed our inaugural fair in Bloomington, here's what you can expect for this year's event: a casual, come-and-go-as-you-wish setting to discuss-- you guessed it!-- ideas. Idea Station discussion leaders are listed below, and they eagerly anticipate talking with YOU!

  • Rebecca Snetselaar (Nevada Arts Council) talking about State Folk Arts Programs and Fieldwork: Preservation & Access Issues

  • Molly Bolick (Independent), Mira Johnson (FolkArtPA at Jump Street), and Nelda Ault (Utah Dept of Workforce Services) talking about Refugee Communities

  • Jason Morris (George Mason University), Meredith Martin Moats (Independent and McElroy House), and Rachel Reynolds Luster (Coalition for Ozarks Living Traditions) talking about Cultural Sustainability and Ecology

  • Jennifer Jameson (Middle Tennessee State University) and Rachel Rudi (Warren Wilson College) talking about the Rural Arts and Culture Map
