Singing is a universal cultural practice that includes processing of personal feelings and experiences as well as various individual and communal aims in the framework of poetical-musical tradition into a creative, voiced, bodily performance.

The Estonian Folklore Archives of the Estonian Literary Museum is pleased to invite you to participate in a conference devoted to traditional singing with its various personal and communal aspects. Titled "Expressions and Impressions: Personal and Communal Aspects of Traditional Singing," the conference will be held at the Estonian Literary Museum, Nov. 7–9, 2018, in Tartu, Estonia.

This conference is the tenth in a series of biennial conferences, currently expanding its focus from Finnic runosongs to the singing traditions of the whole world. The conference has no participation fee.
