The Folklore Society, founded in London in 1878, will host a conference on the theme "Working Life: Belief, Custom, Ritual, Narrative" at the Museum of English Rural Life (University of Reading) in London on April 27–29, 2018. The conference will feature Patricia Lysaght delivering the 2018 Folklore Society Presidential Address and David Hopkin giving a special keynote talk, as well twenty-one regular conference presentations spread over seven consecutive sessions.
