AFS Women’s Section 2008 Forum on Croning

At the 2008 Annual Meeting of the American Folklore Society in Louisville, Kentucky, the Women’s Section sponsored a forum, “The Folklore of Croning.” Organized by Cronette Lisa Higgins, several Women’s Section members presented their perspectives on the history of the croning ritual at AFS.
