AFSNews

Published electronically four times a year and posted on the AFS web site, the AFSNews contains timely information about and for the field of folklore. It is also a primary means by which American Folklore Society members receive information about the Society’s annual meeting and elections, as well as other important AFS business.

Current and back issues of the AFSNews are available through the members-only part of this site. Please see here for more details.

We prefer to receive materials for the AFSNews in electronic form. Please send materials, either as a Word attachment or pasted into an e-mail, to AFS Associate Director Maria Teresa Agozzino. If you have only hard copies of your materials, please send them to AFSNews, American Folklore Society, Mershon Center, Ohio State University, 1501 Neil Avenue, Columbus, OH 43201-2602 USA.

Issues are published at the beginning of February, May, August, and November each year. The deadline for each issue is two weeks before the publication date (e.g., January 15 is the deadline for the February issue).
