This year’s meeting in Long Beach will introduce an event that has worked well at the meetings of other organizations: affinity dinners.
This dinner presents the opportunity to connect with new people as well as old friends in discussion of a topic of common interest. Groups will be kept relatively small to allow for a fruitful discussion around one large table. Participants will be responsible for their own meal.
Some possible topics are listed below. To be a success, each of the dinners
should have not only a group of interested participants, but also a lead person to help arrange the meeting place, gather the group,
and introduce some discussion points over dinner.
Sign up by October 1; we will use the preliminary results to determine which topics can move forward.
