The 2014 local planning and review committees are very busy these days making arrangements and decisions for our upcoming Annual Meeting program in Santa Fe. The annual meeting would be impossible without these volunteers: they put together sessions, arrange speakers, special events and tours, and carefully weigh all proposals to build the strongest program for the fall.
Once the program decisions are made, AFS staff take over to create the schedule and to share information with everyone involved.
In the first weeks of June, we will email everyone who submitted a proposal—chairs who submitted sessions, and individuals who proposed papers, Diamond or media presentations—to inform them of the review committee's decisions. If you submitted a proposal form and do not receive that email by June 15, please contact us.
When the preliminary program is available in mid-June, it will be posted to our website and we will email all participants to ask them to review it. Corrections and change requests must be received within two weeks of the posting date.
Information about conference hotels and preconference events will be available soon after the preliminary program is posted.We will put the information on the 2014 Annual Meeting page, and email registered participants when the information is available.
