Individuals who have limited or no opportunity to use a research library can gain direct access to JSTOR journal archives in one of two ways:

  • A $15/year subscription to JSTOR’s folklore journals: fully searchable versions of back issues of the Journal of American Folklore, as well as three of the world's major English-language folklore journalsFolklore, the Journal of Folklore Research, and Western Folklore.
  • A $99/year JPASS subscription, which provides full access to more than 1,500 journals in the humanities, social sciences, and sciences.

These benefits are only available to AFS members.
