The American Folklore Society has been awarded a grant from the Folk and Traditional Arts Program of the National Endowment for the Arts to continue our Consultancy and Professional Development Program from June 2014 through May 2015. This program provides contracts for consultancies and professional development opportunities that--in addition to any other outcomes--will create case studies of issues, challenges, organizations, or events in the folk and traditional arts field, or descriptions of best practices in some area of folk and traditional arts work, that we will share on our web site.

We will begin accepting applications for support of June 2014-May 2015 consultancies and professional development activities on June 1. For program guidelines and links to reports from previously funded activities, please visit

We deeply appreciate NEA's belief in our mission and support of our work.
