Plan Ahead for Providence Dining and Transportation

Because Brown University's Family Weekend overlaps with the final days of our conference, this is not the year to collect twenty friends in the lobby and wander into the night looking for dinner. We encourage you to make reservations in advance, especially for Friday and Saturday evenings.

Our insider in Providence, Winnie Lambrecht, has prepared a guide to dining options; this will be distributed at the meeting, but you can find it now at: http://www.afsnet.org/?page=AM13LocalInfo.

See also the dining directory prepared by the Providence Warwick Convention and Visitors Bureau for more comprehensive, less curated information: http://www.goprovidence.com/afs/ (click on "dining" in the menu).

The Providence Warwick Convention and Visitors Bureau site also provides information about local transportation, including cabs, shuttles, local buses, trains and car rental; see http://www.goprovidence.com/afs/ (click on T.F. Green or Logan airport in the menu).
