With the anticipated release of a special issue on "Folklore Archives in
Theory and Practice," the Journal of Folklore Research (JFR) would like to
invite submissions of article, notes, reflections, and/or reviews. Essays
may cover a range of topics that represent emergent contemporary approaches
to working with folklore/ethnographic materials in the archival context.
Folklorists, library science professionals, academics, graduate students,
and independent scholars who have engaged with key ideas related to the
nature and management of contemporary folklore archives are welcome to
submit proposals to the issue editors, Andy Kolovos, Vermont Folklife
Center, email@example.com, or Nicole Saylor, University of
Iowa Libraries, firstname.lastname@example.org. Deadline for proposal submissions
is Friday, May 4, 2012.
