The Center for Folklife and Cultural Heritage of the Smithsonian Institution is always looking for some great interns, undergraduate, graduate, or in between school and career. Although the position does not pay, it is extremely useful experience and some of our "alumni" have gone on to distinguished Folklore (and other related) careers. Internships can be done either semester during the year, as a January internship, or during the summer (any part of the summer, but usually including the dates of the Smithsonian Folklife Festival in June and July.

For more information and application procedures, contact Arlene Reiniger, Intern Coordinator, at reinigera@si.edu. See www.folklife.si.edu for more information about the Center and its work.
