The Journal of American Folklore is looking for web site review contributors. Sites to be reviewed include:

EVIA Digital Archive Project: http://www.eviada.org/

Folkstreams: http://www.folkstreams.net/

Bartek Plichta's Akustyk: http://bartus.org/akustyk/

Seasr (Is anyone using this digital humanities tool, or any others, for folklore-related research projects?): http://seasr.org/

Traditional Music and Spoken Word Catalog: http://memory.loc.gov/diglib/ihas/html/afccards/afccards-home.html

Cecil Sharp's Appalachian Diaries 1915-1918: http://library.efdss.org/exhibitions/sharpdiaries/index.html

Great Lakes Quilt Center (or a survey of traditional quilting web resources): http://museum.msu.edu/glqc/index.html

JAF web reviews focus primarily on the utility of Web sites for research and teaching. While reviews often address the scholarship and how it fits within the standards of the cultures addressed, the reviews must also address issues of navigation and interface design. The review should be up to 1000 words long.

Please contact JAF web site review editor Nikki Saylor at nicole-saylor@uiowa.edu if you are interested in reviewing one of the sites listed above. Suggestions for sites to review are also welcome.
