Virginia Tech Seeks Assoc. Director of Undergraduate Academic Programs

Virginia Tech is currently seeking a qualified candidate to fill the position of Associate Director of University-wide Undergraduate Academic Programs. This is a 12-month administrative faculty position within Undergraduate Academic Affairs. The Associate Director provides strategic and operational leadership to the array of responsibilities in the Office of University-wide Undergraduate Academic Programs including first year experience programs, the University’s Common Book Project, academic based peer mentoring initiatives, and proactive coordination with student support and co-curricular units across the university.

The position requires an individual who has strong conceptual, analytical and integrative thinking skills especially with respect to first year students. The successful candidate will have proven success in effective teaching and learning and organizational experience in higher education.
