Smithsonian Folklife Festival Seeks 2018 Interns

The Smithsonian Institution is currently accepting applications for temporary positions during the 2018 Folklife Festival. Armenian, French, Spanish, and Catalan speakers are encouraged to apply. Download position descriptions and the availability questionnaire on the Smithsonian webpage for more information. To apply, submit the questionnaire and your résumé to Claudia Telliho (TellihoC@si.edu) by January 26, 2018.

The Smithsonian Center for Folklife and Cultural Heritage will begin interviewing for available positions in January. The 2018 Smithsonian Folklife Festival will take place June 27–July 1 and July 4–8, 2018, featuring programs on Armenian, Catalan, and African culture.

 All positions require occasional work on evenings, weekends, and holidays. Many positions require strenuous work outside for at least three to four weeks before, during, and after the Festival. Technical and operations positions require strenuous work outdoors for up to 12 weeks.
