The Department of Folklore at Memorial University of Newfoundland is seeking an outstanding individual with an established record of excellence in teaching and research for a full-time position at the rank of Assistant Professor. Applicants must have a Ph.D. in Folklore or a closely related discipline.

The successful candidate will have expertise in the intersections of folklore and popular culture, with both regional and global perspectives. Specialization in contemporary legend will be preferred.
