A video of Bill Ivey’s February 14, 2017, lunchtime talk about his forthcoming book at Indiana University’s Department of Folklore and Ethnomusicology is the first video on AFS’s new YouTube channel. Ivey’s talk is the first in an occasional series of AFS-sponsored talks on the topic of “New Horizons in Folklore Studies.” The YouTube URL is https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iSj5qnOUz2U.

Over the coming months, this channel’s offerings will grow as we post our collection of more than 60 videos of key AFS annual meeting presentations since 2004, a series of brief “Why I Am a Folklorist” interviews produced by AFS President Kay Turner, a series of instructional videos about AFS’s online Folklore Collections Database (folklorecollections.org), new “New Horizons” talks, and more.
