American Folklife Center Seeks Veterans History Project Director

This position is located in the Veterans History Project (VHP) of the American Folklife Center (AFC). The incumbent reports directly to the AFC Director. The congressionally mandated VHP project collects, preserves and makes available, first-hand accounts of veterans and civilians who served in wartime during World War I, World War II, as well as the Korean, Vietnam, and Persian Gulf War and later military conflicts. As Project Director, the incumbent is responsible for publicizing, coordinating, implementing, and assessing the project and providing leadership to the staff within VHP, including selecting, motivating, evaluating, rewarding, and directing them.
