The 2016 Perspectives on Contemporary Legend 34th International Conference of the International Society for Contemporary Legend Research (ISCLR) will be held June 28 to July 2 in Tallinn, Estonia. The conference will take place in the old medieval part of Tallinn at the Institute of Theology of the Estonian Evangelical Lutheran Church, Pühavaimu 6, 10123, Tallinn, Estonia (http://ui.eelk.ee/index.php/en/).

The organizers of the conference are the Department of Folklore of the Estonian Literary Museum and the Estonian Academic Folklore Society.

As usual, the 34th Perspectives on Contemporary Legend meeting will be organized as a series of seminars at which the majority of attendees will present papers. Proposals for special panels, discussion sessions and other related events are encouraged.

Proposals for papers on all aspects of contemporary, urban, or modern legend research are sought, as are those on any legend-like tradition that circulate actively at present or have circulated at an earlier historical period.

To submit a proposal, please forward a title and abstract (250-300 words) for 30 minute papers (20 minutes for presenting and 10 minutes for discussing) by February 1, 2016, to:
