The Washington State Arts Commission seeks a creative, energetic and highly organized professional for strengthening arts organizations in Washington State through grants and partnerships. The position manages the agency’s grants to organizations; works cooperatively with the Arts in Education grants program as appropriate; conducts outreach and provides technical assistance; takes on a lead and / or support role with agency programs such as the Poet Laureate program, the Governor’s Arts and Heritage Awards and others as needed and assigned; represents the agency in public meetings; manages budgets and evaluation processes; provides leadership with related regional and national organizations. This position also serves as the Agency’s accessibility coordinator related to ADA/504 compliance, concerns and initiatives.
