The Advisory Council on Historic Preservation recently published online an interview with folklorist and historic preservation specialist Laurie Sommers, which included a discussion of AFS's Working Group in Historic Preservation. In the interview, Sommers makes a case to the historic preservation field for what folklorists can contribute to historic preservation. The interview is available at http://www.achp.gov/inclusiveness-laurie.html. Information, a public policy paper, case studies, and other information from the working group's efforts are available at http://www.afsnet.org/?page=HistPresPolicy.
