"On the Mediterranean as Lived and Dreamed by Insiders and Outsiders"
Sponsored by Centro per Studi Mediterranei
Submissions are being accepted. Papers may focus on how Mediterranean culture is lived and represented through the junctures/meetings between the Mediterranean and art forms coming from the Americas, Australia, Africa, and the various Mediterranean countries. Themes may include the representation of family and gender, the issue and experience of otherness, the search for cultural, political, national and spiritual identity. This year’s conference will have a special focus on cinema and documentaries.
Papers should be written in the language in which the reader feels most comfortable (Italian, English, French, and Spanish); however, they should be limited to no more than 18 minutes (8-9 doubled-spaced pages). One-page abstracts should be sent electronically (Word attachment only) by January 31, 2016 or before to Antonio C. Vitti (firstname.lastname@example.org, or to Anthony Tamburri(email@example.com).
