Association for Recorded Sound Collections Announces 2015 Workshop and Grants

The outreach committee of the Association for Recorded Sound Collections (ARSC) has announced the following workshop and grants to take place or be awarded in the upcoming year.

  • "From Idea to Deliverable: Planning and Executing Your Grant-Funded Project," a workshop to be held on May 27, 2015, before the 49th Annual ARSC Conference in Pittsburgh
  • ARSC Conference Travel Grants for first-time attendees, which include free preconference workshop and meeting registrations in addition to a travel reimbursement of up to $750 (Application deadline: December 5, 2014)
  • Program for the Preservation of Classical Music Historical Recording grants, designed to "encourage and support the preservation of historically significant sound recordings of Western Art Music by individuals and organizations" (Application deadline: December 15, 2014)
  • Research grants, which support "scholarship and publication in the fields of sound recording research and audio preservation" (Application deadline: February 28, 2015)
