Some Annual Meeting Options Require Advance Planning

Thanks to all those who have already placed their orders, we can now confirm that we can meet our commitments to service providers. As a result, we can continue to offer tickets for online sales only for these special events:

We will keep the online store open for these events for the duration of the conference (or until they sell out), but to gain admittance, you will have to be able to print out the ticket that you will receive in your confirmation email. No tickets will be sold in Santa Fe, either at the registration desk or at the door.

Here are some other options that require advance planning:

  • Boxed lunches will be available by advance purchase until October 15.

  • A few spaces also remain on the Wednesday tours. If you find one sold out, let me know if you would like to be put on a waiting list.

  • If you intend to join AFS or renew your membership this fall, please do so before or after the meeting, not in Santa Fe. We will charge an additional 9% on membership dues paid in Santa Fe in order to pay NM sales tax.

  • If you're flying to Albuquerque, book your shuttle to Santa Fe now. American Folklore Society conference attendees can reserve the Albuquerque/Santa Fe shuttle service with Sandia Shuttle at a discounted rate of $40 round-trip. To reserve, call the Sandia customer service center at 888-775-5696 and reference the American Folklore Society; alternatively, book online and use the discount code AFS2014.
