Applications are due September 21, 2014 for New Mexico Arts' Folk Arts, Grants, ADA and Music Coordinator.

The position is responsible for overseeing and coordinating arts services grants and contracts related to folk arts and traditional New Mexico art forms and other grant categories. Job entails contracts management, including reviewing contract budgets to insure grantees comply with agency policies, state and federal laws. Position documents folk arts in New Mexico, including Native American and Hispanic traditions, and recruits and funds, via contracts, master-apprentice artist teams. Responsible for insuring ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act) compliance as required by federal funder, and for coordinating with Music Commission. Work with an online grants application system, including arranging independent peer review panels of various grants categories. Job entails meeting tight deadlines and managing multiple projects at same time. Position includes some public speaking, grants writing, and working with diverse groups and individuals.
